We construct a new giant graviton solution on the recently constructed pp-wave geometry of the non-supersymmetric Schrödinger background. That solution exhibits an intriguing behavior as the deformation parameter of the spacetime varies. Firstly, the degeneracy between the giant and the point graviton is lifted for the benefit of the giant graviton as soon as the deformation is turned on. Secondly, when the deformation parameter exceeds a critical value the barrier separating the point from the…

Giant gravitons in the Schrödinger holography

We construct and study new giant graviton configurations in the framework of the non-supersymmetric Schrödinger holography. We confirm in the original Schrödinger spacetime, the picture discovered

Marginally deformed Schrödinger/dipole CFT correspondence

We construct and thoroughly study a new integrable example of the AdS/CFT correspondence with Schrödinger symmetry. On the gravity side, the supergravity solution depends on two parameters and is

Holographic Fisher information metric in Schrödinger spacetime

In this paper, we study the Fisher information metric on the space of the coupling constants on both sides of the duality between non-relativistic dipole field theories and string theory in

We study finite size corrections to the semiclassical string solutions of the Schrödinger spacetime. We compute the leading order exponential corrections to the infinite size dispersion relation of

Giant gravitons in the Schrödinger holography

More on Schrödinger holography

We find explicit solutions for giant magnons and spiky strings living on the Schrödinger space Schr5 × T1,1 and compute dispersion relations. The holographic dual field theory is conjectured to be a

Pulsating strings in Schr5 × T 1,1 background

The quest for extension of holographic correspondence to non-relativistic sectors naturally includes Schrödinger backgrounds and their field theory duals. In this paper we study the holography by

String theory on the Schrödinger pp-wave background

We study string theory on the pp-wave geometry obtained by taking the Penrose limit around a certain null geodesic of the non-supersymmetric Schrödinger background. We solve for the spectrum of

Thermal giant graviton with non-commutative dipole field

Using the type II near-extremal 3D-branes solution we apply the T-duality and smeared twist to construct the supergravity backgrounds which dual to the 4D finite temperature non-commutative dipole

Giant Gravitons on Deformed pp-waves

The recently constructed Lunin-Maldacena deformation of AdS5 × S5 is known to support two inequivalent Penrose limits that lead to BPS pp-wave geometries. In this note, we construct new giant

Giants on deformed backgrounds Part II: the gauge field fluctuations

We study the full bosonic spectrum around giant and dual giant graviton probes in exactly marginally deformed backgrounds. Considering supersymmetric and non-supersymmetric three-parameter

Squashed Giants: Bound States of Giant Gravitons

We consider giant gravitons in the maximally supersymmetric type-IIB plane-wave, in the presence of a constant NSNS B-field background. We show that in response to the background B-field the giant

Integrability in dipole-deformed N=4 super Yang–Mills

We study the null dipole deformation of N=4 super Yang–Mills theory, which is an example of a potentially solvable ‘dipole CFT’: a theory that is non-local along a null direction, has
