The material studied was collected by Dr. P. H. van Doesburg Jr. during his stay in Surinam and by various workers during investigations sponsored by the “Max-Planck-Institut fur Limnologie, Abt. Tropenokologie” at Plon (director Prof. Dr. H. Sioli), and the “Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazonia” at Manaus and Brasilia (director Prof. Dr. D. Batista). Additional material from the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie at Leiden, collected by various persons was also studied. Specimens have…

New distributional data concerning some Gerromorpha (Insecta: Hemiptera: Heteroptera) from Brazil
Distributional information is provided for 51 Gerromorpha species from Brazil, including first species records from the states of Alagoas, Paraiba, and Sergipe, and additional new records and distributional information are provided.
Analysis of the Geographical Distribution of Gerridae (Hemiptera, Gerromorpha) in the Andes of Southwestern Colombia
The communities of Gerridae from Pacific Plain are in the same zonobioma  but differ in taxonomic composition due to differences in water bodies and microhabitats own, and the inverse relationship between altitude and species richness is shown.
Gerromorpha (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) of eastern Mato Grosso State, Brazil: checklist, new records, and species distribution modeling.
Based on literature and collections made on streams and lakes on municipalities of eastern Mato Grosso, Brazil, a list has been elaborated with 52 species, including several new records of semiaquatic bugs, most of which spend much of their lifetime on the water surface, between floating plants, or on the margins of water bodies.
Systematics of the South American species of Cylindrostethus Mayr, 1865 (Hemiptera : Heteroptera : Gerridae), with a new species from Amazonian Brazil and Peru
Using a cladistic analysis of morphological characters, it is confirmed the subdivision of Neotropical Cylindrostethus into two major groups and a key to the nine species is provided, along with detailed descriptions and illustrations.
Gerromorpha (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) from the Metropolitan Region of Santarém, Brazil, including three new species of Microvelia Westwood, 1834 (Veliidae: Microveliinae)
A survey of the semi-aquatic bugs from the Metropolitan Region of Santarém, Brazil, aims to fill gaps concerning the diversity and distribution of Gerromorpha in the Amazon, and a checklist with 44 species recorded from the three municipalities of the MRS is presented.
Revision of the genera Eurygerris and Tachygerris (Hemiptera: Tachygerrini) from the neotropical region
The taxonomy of the tribe Tachygerrini (Hemiptera: Gerridae: Gerrinae) was studied andEleven species from the tribe were re-described for the Neotropics, and Eurygerris kahli (Drake y Harris, 1934) is synonymized with Eurygers fuscinervis (Berg, 1898).
New records of aquatic Heteroptera (Hemiptera) from the Andean foothills of the Amazonia (Putumayo, Colombia)
Four new records of species of aquatic heteropterous are added to the entomofauna of Colombia and, distributional limits are extended for all species collected. New data is reported for the
Distributional Patterns of Chacoan Water Bugs (Heteroptera: Belostomatidae, Corixidae, Micronectidae and Gerridae)
Analysis of distributional patterns of South American species of aquatic and semiaquatic Heteroptera shows that the Chaco province appears to be a natural biogeographic area.
New records and range extension of species of Gerridae (Insecta: Hemiptera) in Colombia
From specimens deposited in five entomological collections of Colombia, the geographical distribution of 19 species is extended and the following three species are recorded for the first time for the country.

The Heteroptera of the Netherlands Antilles – I Foreword Gerridae, Veliidae, Mesoveliidae (Water Striders)
