<p>Cette étude décrit les tentatives de Georges Hardy, directeur de l'instruction publique du Maroc français, de créer une pédagogie coloniale adaptée aux attributs ethniques des musulmans marocains. Depuis 1912, le résident général Hubert Lyautey a pris en charge des recherches ethnologiques dans le protectorat, dans l'espoir que ces recherches conduiraient à des politiques adaptées aux circonstances du Maroc.
