Descemet membrane by removing ‘‘all’’ corneal stroma in the recipient bed maximizes the advantages for the patient, and the big-bubble technique is a significant advance in realizing this goal. We declare that every other modification that serves to remove ‘‘all’’ the corneal stroma in the recipient bed, leaving the ‘‘fullbed’’ exposure of the Descemet membrane throughout the trephination area, could be considered another advance in realizing the goal.
