The nuclear receptor Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptors alpha (PPARα) is an important transcriptional regulator of genes involved in lipid metabolism and inflammation. Transcriptional activation by PPARα requires interactions between PPARα and coregulatory proteins.
