N-acetyltrasferase-2 (NAT2) and microsomal epoxide hydrolase (mEH) are polymorphic genes that metabolize different tobacco carcinogens. Smaller studies found inconsistent relationships between NAT2 or mEH polymorphisms and lung cancer risk.
