Thirteen papaya cultivars and lines were used to assess genetic diversity through dominant PCR based markers (16 RAPD and 12 ISSR primers). RAPD (random amplified polymorphic DNA) primers gave 58 polymorphic bands out of 126 with 47.19% polymorphism and ISSR (Inter simple sequence repeats) primers produced 49.80% polymorphism with 37 polymorphic bands out of 65 bands. Dendrogram showed clear grouping ancestrally related papaya cultivars. Principle coordinate analysis (PCoA) showed congruence… Expand

Phylogeographic diversity and population structure of Carica papaya L. revealed through nuclear microsatellites
TLDR
The diverse material revealed by this research expands the current papaya genetic resources, which can be used effectively in genomic studies in papaya improvement programs as well as in germplasm conservation studies. Expand
Genetic diversity between and within the natural populations of Garcinia indica (Thouars) Choisy: A high value medicinal plant from Northern Western Ghats of India using ISSR markers
TLDR
Dendrogram revealed two main clusters for both between and within the natural populations based on altitudinal variation and geographical distribution of the species which is significantly supported by Mantel correlation test for geographic and genetic distance among populations. Expand
Anatomical profile and genetic variability of sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) cultivars in Banyumas, Central Java, based on RAPD markers
TLDR
The result of the anatomical study showed that eight sweet potato cultivars have significantly different variation in leaf anatomical profile, and implementation of the research would particularly useful for the identification and evaluation of the genetic improvement of sweet Potato cultivars.
