AIMS To investigate the prevalence, seasonality and genetic diversity of genogroup IV noroviruses (GIV NoVs) in wastewater in Japan. METHODS AND RESULTS Untreated and treated wastewater samples were collected monthly for a year from a wastewater treatment plant in Japan.
