Abstract

Streptomyces coelicolor contains two gene clusters putatively involved in wall teichoic acid biosynthesis. Inactivation of the tagF homologue SCO2997 or SCO2584, a component of the Streptomyces spore wall synthesizing complex, affected sporulation.
