We propose that symmetry protected topological (SPT) phases with crystalline symmetry are formulated by equivariant generalized homologies $h^G_n(X)$ over a real space manifold $X$ with $G$ a crystalline symmetry group. The Atiyah-Hirzebruch spectral sequence unifies various notions in crystalline SPT phases such as the layer construction, higher-order SPT phases and Lieb-Schultz-Mattis type theorems. Our formulation is applicable to interacting systems with onsite and crystalline symmetries as…
Generalized Lieb-Schultz-Mattis theorem on bosonic symmetry protected topological phases
We propose and prove a family of generalized Lieb-Schultz-Mattis~(LSM) theorems for symmetry protected topological~(SPT) phases on boson/spin models in any dimensions. The ``conventional'' LSM
Classification of crystalline topological insulators through K-theory.
Topological phases for free fermions in systems with crystal symmetry are classified by the topology of the valence band viewed as a vector bundle over the Brillouin zone. Additional symmetries, such
Topological theory of Lieb-Schultz-Mattis theorems in quantum spin systems
Exploring the consequences of the arrangement of spins and its space-group symmetry, a systematic theory is given to determine under what circumstances the ground state of a quantum magnet must be a
Fermionic Finite-Group Gauge Theories and Interacting Symmetric/Crystalline Orders via Cobordisms
We formulate a family of spin Topological Quantum Field Theories (spin-TQFTs) as fermionic generalization of bosonic Dijkgraaf–Witten TQFTs. They are obtained by gauging G -equivariant invertible
Generalized Wen-Zee terms
Motivated by symmetry-protected topological phases (SPTs) with both spatial symmetry (e.g., lattice rotation) and internal symmetry (e.g., spin rotation), we propose a class of exotic topological
Tenfold Topology of Crystals
The celebrated tenfold-way of Altland-Zirnbauer symmetry classes discern any quantum system by its pattern of non-spatial symmetries. It lays at the core of the periodic table of topological
Classification and Construction of Topological Phases of Quantum Matter
We develop a theoretical framework for the classification and construction of symmetry protected topological (SPT) phases, which are a special class of zero-temperature phases of strongly interacting
Crystalline equivalent boundary-bulk correspondence of two-dimensional topological phases
The boundary of topological phases of matter can manifest its topology nature, which leads to the so-called boundary-bulk correspondence (BBC) of topological phases. In this Letter, we construct a
Topological states from topological crystals
This work explicitly enumerates all inequivalent topological crystals for noninteracting time-reversal symmetric electronic insulators with spin-orbit coupling and any one of the 230 space groups, which gives topological crystalline insulators a full classification.
Tensor network representations of fermionic crystalline topological phases on two-dimensional lattices
We investigate the tensor network representations of fermionic crystalline symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phases on two-dimensional lattices. As a mapping from virtual indices to physical

Higher symmetry and gapped phases of gauge theories
We study topological field theory describing gapped phases of gauge theories where the gauge symmetry is partially Higgsed and partially confined. The TQFT can be formulated both in the continuum and
Communications in Mathematical Physics Compact Scalar-flat Indefinite Kähler Surfaces with Hamiltonian S 1-Symmetry
The existence of scalar-flat indefinite Kähler metrics on compact complex surfaces is discussed. In particular, a compact scalar-flat indefinite Kähler surface admitting a Hamiltonian S1-symmetry is

The Geometry of Spherical Space Form Groups
In this volume, the geometry of spherical space form groups is studied using the eta invariant. The author reviews the analytical properties of the eta invariant of Atiyah-Patodi-Singer and describes

This paper presents a meta-thesis on the basis of a model derived from the model developed in [Bouchut-Boyaval, M3AS (23) 2013] that states that the mode of action of the Higgs boson is determined by the modulus of the E-modulus.
