A female, neutered, one year old, Miniature Schnauzer presented to the first opinion veterinary surgeon lethargic and depressed. Clinical examination detected generalised lymphadenopathy. The bitch’s temperature was within normal limits. A blood sample was taken for haematology and biochemical evaluation. A 7-year-old male, black Labrador Retriever dog had a shifting leg lameness and reduced exercise tolerance for 2 to 3 days and because of marked splenomegaly a splenectomy was done, there was massive infiltration of most body tissues, especially spleen, bone marrow, lymph nodes, palatine tonsils and periportal areas of the liver.
