This manuscript describes our solution to solve the Author Profiling task at PAN’18. In this edition, the task asks for identifying the user’s gender using both their Tweets containing texts and images. We used our MicroTC (μTC) text classification framework to cope with the text problem, and a novel approach to Bag of Visual Words to solve the image classification, designed for this task to solve the image classification.
