We study the thermodynamic properties and phase structures of topological black holes in Einstein theory with a Gauss-Bonnet term and a negative cosmological constant. The event horizon of these topological black holes can be a hypersurface with positive, zero, or negative constant curvature. When the horizon is a zero curvature hypersurface, the thermodynamic properties of black holes are completely the same as those of black holes without the Gauss-Bonnet term, although the two black hole… Expand

Thermodynamics and stability of hyperbolic charged black holes

Black holes in Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet gravity with a string cloud background
Abstract We obtain a black hole solution in the Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet theory for the string cloud model in a five-dimensional spacetime. We analyze the event horizons and naked singularities. Later,Expand
A Note on Thermodynamics of Black Holes in Lovelock Gravity
Abstract The Lovelock gravity consists of the dimensionally extended Euler densities. The geometry and horizon structure of black hole solutions could be quite complicated in this gravity, however,Expand

TLDR
The thermodynamic properties of black holes in Lovelock gravity are examined and it is found that the specific heat of a black hole becomes positive at small mass, allowing the black hole to achieve stable equilibrium with its environment and giving it an infinite lifetime. Expand
