We consider the effects of spacetime curvature and brane thickness on the localization of gauge fields on a brane via kinetic terms induced by localized fermions. We find that in a warped geometry with an infinitely thin brane, both the infrared and the ultraviolet behavior of the electromagnetic propagator are affected, providing a more stringent bound on the brane's tension than that coming from the requirement of four-dimensional gravity on the brane. On the other hand, for a thick wall in a…

Domain wall brane in squared curvature gravity

We suggest a thick braneworld model in the squared curvature gravity theory. Despite the appearance of higher order derivatives, the localization of gravity and various bulk matter fields is shown to

Localization of gravitino field on f(R)-thick branes

In this paper, we consider the localization of a five-dimensional gravitino field on f(R)-thick branes. We obtain the coupled chiral equations of the Kaluza-Klein (KK) modes of gravitinos with the

Vector fields localization on brane worlds

To confine vector bosons in the four dimensional sector of a domain wall spacetime, we propose a mechanism in which the interaction among vectors is propagated via the self-interaction of the scalar

Fermion localization mechanism with derivative geometrical coupling on branes

In order to localize fermions on branes with codimension 1, one usually introduces the Yukawa coupling between fermions and background scalar fields or the recently proposed derivative fermion-scalar

Gauge Field Localization on Deformed Branes

In this paper, we utilise the Chumbes-Holf da Silva-Hott (CHH) mechanism to investigate the issue of gauge field localization on a deformed brane constructed with one scalar field, which can be

New localization method of U(1) gauge vector field on flat branes in (asymptotic) AdS5 spacetime

It is well known that the U ( 1 ) ?> gauge vector field, with standard five-dimensional (5D) action, cannot be localized on Randall–Sundrum-like braneworlds with an infinite extra dimension. In this

Resonance spectrum of a bulk fermion on branes

It is known that there are two mechanisms for localizing a bulk fermion on a brane: one is the well-known Yukawa coupling, and the other is the new coupling proposed in [Phys. Rev. D 89, 086001

Supergravity-induced interactions on thick branes

The gravity coupling of the symmetric space sigma model is studied in the solvable Lie algebra parametrization. The corresponding Einstein equations are derived and the energy–momentum tensor is

Effects of temperature on thick branes and the fermion (quasi-)localization

Following Campos’s work [Phys. Rev. Lett. 88 (2002) 141602], we investigate the effects of temperature on flat, de Sitter (dS), and anti-de Sitter (AdS) thick branes in five-dimensional (5D) warped
