Supersymmetric models with extended group structure beyond the standard model are revisited in the framework of general gauge mediation. Sum rules for sfermion masses are shown to depend genuinely on the group structure, which can serve as important probes for specific models. The left-right model and models with extra U(1) are worked out for illustrations. If the couplings of extra gauge groups are small, supersymmetric hidden valleys of the scale 10-100 GeV can be naturally constructed in… Expand

Soft terms from broken symmetries

General gauge mediation and deconstruction
We locate a supersymmetry breaking hidden sector and supersymmetric standard model on different lattice points of an orbifold moose. The hidden sector is encoded in a set of current correlators andExpand
Direct gaugino mediation.
TLDR
It is shown that renormalizable supersymmetric four-dimensional theories which lead to gaugino mediation and various generalizations thereof have a parameter which continuously interpolates between suppressed soft scalar masses and their conventional gauge mediated contribution. Expand
Gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking in five dimensions
In this thesis we focus on the construction of models in which a supersymmetry breaking hidden sector is located on one fixed point of an extra dimensional interval and the effects are gauge mediatedExpand
Warped general gauge mediation
We develop the formalism of "general gauge mediation" for five-dimensional theories in a slice of AdS space. A set of current correlators encodes the effect of a supersymmetry breaking hidden sectorExpand

Probing the symmetry-breaking pattern using sfermion masses
Abstract We study the mass spectrum of superparticles within supersymmetric grand unified models. For gaugino masses, it is pointed out that the GUT relation in the SU (5) model is applicable to aExpand
Theories with Gauge-Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking
Theories with gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking provide an interesting alternative to the scenario in which the soft terms of the low-energy fields are induced by gravity. These theories allowExpand
Gaugino mass without singlets
In models with dynamical supersymmetry breaking in the hidden sector, the gaugino masses in the observable sector have been believed to be extremely suppressed (below 1 keV), unless there is a gaugeExpand
