We consider extra dimensional gauge theories on an interval. We first review the derivation of the consistent boundary conditions (BC's) from the action principle. These BC's include choices that give rise to breaking of the gauge symmetries. The boundary conditions could be chosen to coincide with those commonly applied in orbifold theories, but there are many more possibilities. To investigate the nature of gauge symmetry breaking via BC's we calculate the elastic scattering amplitudes for…

We study five-dimensional Yang-Mills theories compactified on an S^1/Z_2 orbifold. The fundamental Lagrangian naturally includes brane kinetic terms at the orbifold fixed points which are induced by…

We examine the phenomenology of a warped 5-dimensional model based on SU(2)L× SU(2)R× U(1)B−L model which implements electroweak symmetry breaking through boundary conditions, without the presence of…
Structure of corrections to electroweak interactions in Higgsless models

Recently, Higgsless models of electroweak symmetry breaking have been proposed. Based on compactified five-dimensional gauge theories, these models achieve unitarity of electroweak boson…

We study the S parameter, considering especially its sign, in models of elec- troweak symmetry breaking (EWSB) in extra dimensions, with fermions localized near the UV brane. Such models are…

Recently there has been interest in electroweak models on a five dimensional interval that break the symmetry without a higgs boson. By warping the metric of the interval it may be possible to avoid…

Non-Abelian gauge theories may have continuum limits in more than four dimensions, supported by non-trivial ultra-violet fixed points. Moreover, such theories can be expected to be accessible to…
