Gas Turbine Engine Combustors
@inproceedings{Chang2010GasTE, title={Gas Turbine Engine Combustors}, author={Clarence T. Chang}, year={2010} }
The combustor of aircraft gas turbine engines is designed to burn fuel and air at high pressures to greatly increase the working-fluid temperature for work extraction by the turbine. The double-shelled structure design concept has evolved to become structurally more robust and durable, aerodynamically more stable to enable broader operating ranges, and burns cleaner with markedly less pollutant formation.
