We present a new method to create spatial data using a generative adversarial network (GAN). Our contribution uses coarse and widely available geospatial data to create maps of less available features at the finer scale in the built environment, bypassing their traditional acquisition techniques (e.g. satellite imagery or land surveying). In the work, we employ land use data and road networks as input to generate building footprints and conduct experiments in 9 cities around the world. The…

Image-to-Image Translation with Conditional Adversarial Networks
Conditional adversarial networks are investigated as a general-purpose solution to image-to-image translation problems and it is demonstrated that this approach is effective at synthesizing photos from label maps, reconstructing objects from edge maps, and colorizing images, among other tasks.
Long Short-Term Memory
A novel, efficient, gradient based method called long short-term memory (LSTM) is introduced, which can learn to bridge minimal time lags in excess of 1000 discrete-time steps by enforcing constant error flow through constant error carousels within special units.
MapGAN: An Intelligent Generation Model for Network Tile Maps
The quality of the electronic maps generated by MapGAN is optimal in terms of both intuitive vision and classic evaluation indicators, and is compared with some recent image translation models in the fields of one-to-one map generation and one- to-many domain map generation.

Remote Sensing Image Jitter Restoration Based on Deep Generative Adversarial Network
The proposed GAN architecture is proposed to automatically learn and correct the deformed scene features from a single remote sensing image and shows the huge potential of GAN-based methods for the analysis of attitude jitter from remote sensing images.

MasterplanGAN: Facilitating the smart rendering of urban master plans via generative adversarial networks
The achievements of this study contribute to the development of automatic generation of previously subjective and experience-oriented processes, which can serve as a useful tool for urban designers and planners to save time in real projects.
