Fourteen consecutive children who were newly diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and who had never been exposed to stimulants and 10 control children without ADHD underwent polysomnographic studies to quantify Periodic Limb Movements in Sleep (PLMS) and arousals.
