82 ABSTRACT During the previous season it was established that ‘Lamb Hass’ fruit from well fertilised/irrigated high altitude orchards can be hung until October/November and then stored for 1 month. Alternatively, the fruit may be hung until December and stored for 2 weeks. It was found that a relatively high storage temperature (6°C for the entire period) is required in order to stop the development of stem-end rot infections.
