This article is the ninth in the series of Fungal Diversity Notes, where 107 taxa distributed in three phyla, nine classes, 31 orders and 57 families are described and illustrated. Taxa described in the present study include 12 new genera, 74 new species, three new combinations, two reference specimens, a re-circumscription of the epitype, and 15 records of sexual-asexual morph connections, new hosts and new geographical distributions. Twelve new genera comprise Brunneofusispora… Expand

Fungal diversity notes 1036–1150: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions on genera and species of fungal taxa
TLDR
The present study describes one new family (Pseudoberkleasmiaceae in Dothideomycetes), five new genera (Caatingomyces, Cryptoschizotrema, Neoacladium, Paramassaria and Trochilispora), 71 new species and twelve new combinations. Expand
Fungal diversity notes 1151–1276: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions on genera and species of fungal taxa
TLDR
The present study describes two new families, 12 new genera, 82 new species, five new combinations and 25 new records on new hosts and new geographical distributions as well as sexual-asexual reports. Expand
Microfungi associated with Clematis (Ranunculaceae) with an integrated approach to delimiting species boundaries
TLDR
The study revealed two new families, 12 new genera, 50 new species, 26 new host records with one dimorphic character report, and ten species are transferred to other genera on Clematis. Expand
Taxonomic novelties of saprobic Pleosporales from selected dicotyledons and grasses
TLDR
14 new species are described here include 14 new species, a new geographical record and three new host records of known species from dicotyledons and grasses in China, Italy, Russia and Thailand. Expand
Taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungi associated with the invasive weed Chromolaena odorata (Siam weed)
TLDR
Most fungal families found on Siam weed had divergence estimates with stem ages in the Cretaceous, which coincided with the expected origin of the host family (Asteraceae), which indicates that the species have jumped hosts, as it is unlikely that the taxa on the alien Siam Weed came from the Americas with its host. Expand
The Hidden Diversity of Diatrypaceous Fungi in China
TLDR
Current results show the high diversity of Diatrypaceae which are wood-inhabiting fungi in China, and a new record of Eutypella citricola from the host genus Morus is included. Expand
Fungi on wild seeds and fruits
TLDR
This paper reviews and determines the fungi growing on seeds and fruits of wild plants in various habitats with most reported from cones, cupules, and leguminous pods that are high in cellulose and lignin content. Expand

The Plant Family Asteraceae Is a Cache for Novel Fungal Diversity: Novel Species and Genera With Remarkable Ascospores in Leptosphaeriaceae
TLDR
Two novel species have remarkable ascospores that are unusual for sexual ascomycetes and are reported to be a novel genus and a new species belonging to the family Leptosphaeriaceae. Expand
News from the Sea: A New Genus and Seven New Species in the Pleosporalean Families Roussoellaceae and Thyridariaceae
TLDR
Seven new species are revealed in Parathyridariella, a distinct genus in the family Thyriadriaceae associated with the seagrass Posidonia oceanica, with the green alga Flabellia petiolata, and the brown alga Padina pavonica collected in the Mediterranean Sea. Expand
