Endophytic fungi were isolated from roots of six halophytes in Suncheon Bay. The endophytic fungi of 35 species isolated from halophytes were identified by internal transcribed spacer (ITS) containing the ITS1, 5.8s, and ITS2 regions. All fungal strains were analyzed to diversity at the genus level. Fungal culture filtrates (FCF) of endophytic fungi were treated to Waito-c rice (WR) seedling for plant growth-promoting verification. It was confirmed that fungal strain Sj-2-2 provided plant…

Molecular and morphological studies identified the Y2H001 strain as belonging to Aspergillus flavus, a new -producing A. flavus based on morphological, molecular characteristics and analysis of secondary metabolite.

Diversity and Plant Growth-Promoting Effects of Fungal Endophytes Isolated from Salt-Tolerant Plants

The genetic diversity of the fungal endophytes isolated from the roots of plants sampled from the west coast of Korea provided a fundamental basis for understanding the symbiotic interactions between plants and fungi.

Plant growth-promoting activity and identification of endophytic fungi isolated from native plant in East coast

Coastal plant species, Plantago camtschatica Cham. native to the coastal region of the East Sea were sampled and then morphologically different 20 endophytic fungal strains were purely isolated.

Aspergillus clavatus Y2H0002 as a New Endophytic Fungal Strain Producing Gibberellins Isolated from Nymphoides pe ltata in Fresh Water

A window into fungal endophytism in Salicornia europaea: deciphering fungal characteristics as plant growth promoting agents

It is suggested that host lifestyle and soil characteristics have a strong effect on endophytic fungi, and environmental stress could disturb the plant-fungi relations, and these fungi may be effective in facilitating crop production in non-cultivable saline lands.

Gibberellin A7 production by Aspergillus tubingensis YH103 and cultural characteristics of endophytic fungi isolated from Tetragonia tetragonoides in Dokdo islands

Coastal plant species Tetragonia tetragonoides (Pall.) Kuntze native to the Dokdo islands was sampled and then 17 endophytic fungi were purely isolated based on morphological differences. The fungal

A novel PGPF Penicillium olsonii isolated from the rhizosphere of Aeluropus littoralis promotes plant growth, enhances salt stress tolerance, and reduces chemical fertilizers inputs in hydroponic system

The hydroponic farming significantly enhances the yield and enables multiple cropping per year. These advantages can be improved by using plant growth-promoting fungi (PGPF) either under normal or

Plants maintain symbiotic relationships with microorganisms as a strategy to withstand adversities. From this exchange, organisms receive photoassimilates and provide benefits to the plant.

Endophytic association of bioactive and halotolerant Humicola fuscoatra with halophytic plants, and its capability of producing anthraquinone and anthranol derivatives

This is the first report of endophytic association of halotolerant H. fuscoatra isolates with Tamaricaceae and Amarantaceae, and their bioactivity against plant pathogens, and the capability of chrysarobin and aloesaponarin II production is new to the fungal kingdom.

Secondary metabolites from the endophytic fungus Talaromyces pinophilus

Organic extracts obtained from the culture filtrate of an endophytic strain of Talaromyces pinophilus isolated from strawberry tree revealed the presence of three bioactive metabolites, the siderophore ferrirubin, the platelet-aggregation inhibitor herquline B and the antibiotic 3-O-methylfunicone.

Gibberellin production by pure cultures of a new strain of Aspergillus fumigatus

The culture filtrate (CF) of fungal isolate HK-5-2 provided the best results for growth promotion and was thus bioassayed on soybean and identified as a new strain of Aspergillus fumigatus.

Plant growth promotion and Penicillium citrinum

The plant growth promotion and gibberellin producing capacity of IR-3-3 was much higher than the wild type Gibberella fujikuroi, which was taken as control during present study.

Isolation of Gibberellins-Producing Fungi from the Root of Several Sesamum indicum Plants

Penicillium commune KNU5379 produced more GA 3, GA 4, and GA, than Gibberella fujikuroi, Fusarium proliferatum, and Neurospora crassa which are known as GAs-producing fungi.

Endophytic fungal association via gibberellins and indole acetic acid can improve plant growth under abiotic stress: an example of Paecilomyces formosus LHL10

The results reveal that mutualistic interactions of phytohormones secreting endophytic fungi can ameliorate host plant growth and alleviate adverse effects of salt stress.

Effects of Endophytic Fungal Secondary Metabolites on the Growth and Physiological Response of Carex kobomugi Ohwi

Although growth response and physiological characteristics of C. kobomugi were different according to the treatment methods of FCF, injection or spray treatment, plant growth was increased with FCF treatment and the ratio of variable fluorescence to maximal fluorescence did not show significant difference between control and FCF-treated plants.

A new strain of Arthrinium phaeospermum isolated from Carex kobomugi Ohwi is capable of gibberellin production

A molecular analysis of GA biosynthesis in Phaeosphaeria sp.

The metabolic pathway of gibberellins produced by the mutant strain of Fusarium moniliforme 3211 is characterized by a high GA 7 concentration, and it is hypothesized that the main reason for metabolic processes being directed in this way is the different adsorption of GAs on resin depending on their polarity.
