Rapidly programmable micromirror arrays, such as the Texas Instruments Digital Light Processor (DLP®) digital micromirror device (DMD), have opened an exciting new arena in spectral imaging: rapidly reprogrammable, high spectral resolution, multiband spectral filters that perform spectral processing directly in the optical hardware.
