The performance of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems may be severely deteriorated when passing through wireless channels with the spectral nulls. Zero-Padding (ZP) for the OFDM signal guarantees the symbol recovery regardless of the channel spectral nulls if complicated ZP-OFDM-MMSE equalizer is used.
