During surveys of the trichodinid parasites in freshwater and estuarine fishes in Chittagong Division, Bangladesh four new species of the genus Trichodina were investigated and morphologically studied. These are: Trichodina aplocheilusi sp. n. from Aplocheilus panchax, Trichodina chittagongensis sp.n. from Labeo bata, Trichodina kaptaiensis sp. n. from Chanda nama and Trichodina siddiquae sp. n. from Heteropneustes fossilis.
