We present a hadron production study in the forward rapidity region in ultra-peripheral proton–lead ($$p+\text {Pb}$$p+Pb) collisions at the LHC and proton–gold ($$p+\text {Au}$$p+Au) collisions at RHIC. The present paper is based on the Monte Carlo simulations of the interactions of a virtual photon emitted by a fast moving nucleus with a proton beam. The simulation consists of two stages: the starlight event generator simulates the virtual photon flux, which is then coupled to the sophia…

Characterization of hadron production in γ−A photonuclear interactions of ultra-peripheral collisions
A methodology for the simulation of ultra-peripheral collisions, specifically ultra-relativistic heavy ion 197Au-197Au and p-208Pb collisions, is developed. First, the fluxes of virtual photons as a

The First Asymmetry Measurements in High-Energy Polarized Proton-Nucleus Collision at PHENIX-RHIC
The single spin asymmetries in very forward neutron production had been first observed about a decade ago at RHIC in transversely polarized proton + proton collision at √s = 200 GeV. Although neutron
The First Transverse Single Spin Measurement in High Energy Polarized Proton-Nucleus Collision at the PHENIX experiment at RHIC
Large single spin asymmetries in very forward neutron production seen using the PHENIX zero-degree calorimeters are a long established feature of transversely polarized proton-proton collisions at
Forward particle production in proton–nucleus interactions at momenta of 25 and 50 GeV/с and сarbon–nucleus interactions at an energy of 25 GeV per nucleon
Relative yields of high-xF charged hadrons (π±, К±, р, $$\overline p $$p¯, and d) in proton–nucleus interactions at incident-proton momenta of 25 and 50 GeV/c were measured at an angle of 0° in the
Gluon polarization measurements and the possible role of diffractive process in the transverse single spin asymmetry measurements in RHIC-PHENIX
Two selected topics from the latest RHIC spin results are discussed here. For the transversely polarized spin program, an unexpectedly large single spin asymmetry in the very forward neutron
Recently measured large A N for forward neutrons in p ↑ A collisions at s N N = 200 GeV explained through simulations of ultraperipheral collisions and hadronic interactions
The PHENIX experiment at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider recently reported transverse single-spin asymmetry, ${A}_{N}$, for forward neutrons in ${p}^{\ensuremath{\uparrow}}A$ collisions at
Transverse single spin asymmetries of forward neutrons in p+p , p+Al , and p+Au collisions at sNN=200  GeV as a function of transverse and longitudinal momenta
