BACKGROUND The formylpeptide receptor (FPR) is a G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that mediates chemotaxis of phagocytic leukocytes induced by bacterial peptide N-formyl-methionyl-leucyl-phenylalanine (fMLF).
