Laboratory-scale manufacturing method and stability test of ferrous sulphate tetrahydrate had formerly been published. Following this work, the substance was prepared on pilot-plant scale and a controlled-release preparation, i.e. a tablet containing wax-coated ferrous sulphate tetrahydrate granules, has been elaborated.
