The formation and decay of charge carriers in blends of poly(2-methoxy-5-(3',7'-dimethyloctyloxy)-1,4-phenylene-vinylene) (MDMO-PPV) or poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) as electron donor with novel n-type electron accepting conjugated polymers, that is, poly(fluorene-bis(l-cyanovinylenethienylene)phenylene) (PF1CVTP) or poly(fluorene-bis(2-cyanovinylenethienylene)phenylene) (PF2CVTP), were studied.
