Foot structure description is important for many reasons. The foot anthropometric morphology phenomena are analyzed together with hidden biomechanical functionality in order to fully characterize foot structure and function. For younger Croatian population the scatter data of the individual foot variables were interpolated by multivariate statistics. Foot structure descriptors are influenced by many factors, as a style of life, race, climate, and things of the great importance in human society… Expand

Figures, Tables, and Topics from this paper

"Foot length--A functional parameter for assessment of height".
TLDR
The foot print provides a range of dimensions and an attempt was made to find out its correlation with the height of an individual to derive regression equation derived for height estimation of either gender. Expand
Foot Anthropometric Profile of High School Students in Bandung
TLDR
The anthropometric data help the footwear industry to determine the design and size for shoes in Indonesia. Expand
Evaluation of foot arch in adult women: comparison between five different footprint parameters
TLDR
Harris-imprint index was successfully studied as a suitable parameter in determining the left and right foot arches of adult women in overweight and obese participants. Expand
ESTIMATION OF STATURE FROM FOOT DIMENSIONS OF SCHOOL AGE GROUP CHILDREN IN MAHARASHTRA STATE
The present study is based on measurement of foot length of 200 students of two age groups - 6 to 8 yr & 12 to14 yr. Foot length (heel to tip of each digit), foot width, foot girth atExpand
Foot size and foot shape of children, adults and elderly
TLDR
Assessment of the variations among different age groups to get a better understanding of the changes to foot shape so that footwear can accommodate these changes satisfactorily can help understand the growth of feet and the proper fitting, especially for the elderly. Expand
Foot Anthropometric Profile in High School Students in Bandung in 2014
TLDR
Describing foot anthropometric in high school students in Bandung in order to get the fitted shoes helps footwear industry to determine the design and size for the shoe in Indonesia. Expand
Estimation of Stature, Age and Sex from Foot Dimensions in 18 To 20 Years of Age of Students in Maharashtra State, India
TLDR
Measurement of foot length, width, foot girth at metatarsophalangeal joints and stature were the parameters and standard deviation, co-relation coefficient, sexual dimorphism, regression formula and multiple regression equations were predicted. Expand
RESEARCH AND REVIEWS: JOURNAL OF MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES Estimation of Stature, Age and Sex from Foot Dimensions in 18 To 20 Years of Age of Students in Maharashtra State, India.
TLDR
The present study is based on measurement of foot length of 100 students of age group 18 to 20 years, Foot length, Foot width, foot girth at metatarsophalangeal joints and stature were the parameters. Expand
Normal genetic variation of the human foot: Part 2: Population variance, epigenetic mechanisms, and developmental constraint in function.

  • Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association
  • 2012
TLDR
The molecular evidence for genetically controlled expressions of common evolved physical features is highly suggestive of regulatory control mechanisms that act together with developmental constraints to homogenize the retained functional characteristics of the foot. Expand
Foot anthropometry device and single object image thresholding
TLDR
A device, algorithm and graphical user interface is introduced to obtain anthropometric measurements of foot and no significant difference between manual and image-based anthropometry observed. Expand
