OBJECTIVE Propylthiouracil (PTU) has been known to induce myeloperoxidase-antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (MPO-ANCA) positive vasculitis. Our previous study indicated that the increase of avidity of MPO-ANCA might be associated with the occurrence of clinical vasculitis in patients with PTU-induced ANCA.
