Follicular growth and kinetics were studied in detail in the ovaries of the Indian mole rat (Bandicota bengalensis) during various stages of the estrous cycle; days 7, 12, 15, 19, and 21 of pregnancy; and day 2 postpartum. The sizes of follicles, oocytes, nuclei, and nucleoli were measured.
