4-(N,N-Dimethylaminosulphonyl)-7-fluoro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (DBD-F) was synthesised for use as a more reactive, thiol-specific fluorogenic reagent than 4-(aminosulphonyl)-7-fluoro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (ABD-F).
