Abstract Maternal and cord serum pairs were collected from 121 deliveries. The maternal total serum F was found to be 0.072±0.051 μg/ml, while the fetal total serum F was 0.055±0.028 μg/ml. Total F levels in maternal serum were found to be significantly higher than those in cord serum, but the difference in ionic F levels between maternal and cord sera was not statistically significant.
