Abstract

Biginelli-based molecules (1-3) have been synthesized and developed as a new class of fluorescent organic nanoparticle-based chemosensors. Chemosensor 2 has shown excellent selectivity and sensitivity for detection of Hg(2+) in an aqueous medium.
