Fluctuation theorems are fundamental results in nonequilibrium thermodynamics. Considering the fluctuation theorem with respect to the entropy production and an observable, we derive a thermodynamic uncertainty relation which also applies to noncyclic and time-reversal nonsymmetric protocols. Furthermore, we investigate the relation between the thermodynamic uncertainty relation and the correlation between the entropy and the observable, showing that the tightness of the bound is intimately…
