We study the steady state properties of a logistic growth model in the presence of Gaussian white noise. Based on the corresponding Fokker-Planck equation the steady state solution of the probability distribution function and its extrema have been investigated. It is found that the fluctuation of the tumor birth rate reduces the population of the cells while the fluctuation of predation rate can prevent the population of tumor cells from going into extinction. Noise in the system can induce the…

The Effects of Environmental Disturbances on Tumor Growth

TLDR
It was found that the predation rate plays the main role in determining whether or not the noise is favorable for tumor growth.

Spatiotemporal fluctuation-induced transition in a tumor model with immune surveillance.

TLDR
A simple model of spatially extended antitumor system with a fluctuation in growth rate, which can undergo a nonequilibrium phase transition and the multiplicative noise is found to have opposite effects.

Extinction Effects of Multiplicative Non-Gaussian Lévy Noise in a Tumor Growth System with Immunization

The extinction phenomenon induced by multiplicative non-Gaussian Levy noise in a tumor growth model with immune response is discussed. Under the influence of the stochastic immune rate, the model is

Mathematical modeling of tumor growth as a random process

A model is presented to study the random growth of the number of tumor cells. It contains deterministic growth and therapy terms, as well as a random term. The model is formulated as a Langevin

Enhancement of density divergence in an insect outbreak model driven by colored noise

TLDR
The steady states and the transient properties of an insect outbreak model driven by Gaussian colored noise are studied and the effects of the self-correlation time of insect birth rate and predation rate reveal a manifest population divergence on the insect density.

Pure multiplicative stochastic resonance of a theoretical anti-tumor model with seasonal modulability.

Pure multiplicative noise-induced stochastic resonance, which appears in an anti-tumor system modulated by a seasonal external field, is studied by using theoretical analyses of the generalized

Correlated noise induced control of prey extinction

TLDR
It is shown for a typical value of noise correlation there is a giant loss of bistability which in turn prevents the prey population from going into extinction.
