A bstractWe present a flavour-covariant formalism for scalar triplet leptogenesis, which takes into account the effects of the different lepton flavours in a consistent way. Our main finding is that flavour effects can never be neglected in scalar triplet leptogenesis, even in the temperature regime where all charged lepton Yukawa interactions are out of equilibrium. This is at variance with the standard leptogenesis scenario with heavy Majorana neutrinos. In particular, the so-called single…
Scalar triplet flavor leptogenesis with dark matter
We investigate a simple variant of type-II seesaw, responsible for neutrino mass generation, where the particle spectrum is extended with one singlet right-handed neutrino and an inert Higgs doublet,
symmetry for Dirac seesaw and leptogenesis
We extend the DFSZ invisible axion model to simultaneously explain small Dirac neutrino masses and cosmic matter-antimatter asymmetry. After the Peccei-Quinn and electroweak symmetry breaking, the
Peccei-Quinn symmetry for Dirac seesaw and leptogenesis
We extend the DFSZ invisible axion model to simultaneously explain small Dirac neutrino masses and cosmic matter-antimatter asymmetry. After the Peccei-Quinn and electroweak symmetry breaking, the
Leptogenesis, radiative neutrino masses and inert Higgs triplet dark matter
We extend the standard model by three types of inert elds including Majorana fermion singlets/triplets, real Higgs singlets/triplets and leptonic Higgs doublets. In the presence of a softly broken
Scalar triplet leptogenesis in the presence of right-handed neutrinos with S 3 symmetry
Leptogenesis appears to be a viable alternative to account for the baryon asymmetry of the universe through baryogenesis. In this context, we consider a scenario in which the standard model is
New physics in the lepton sector
This thesis addresses some scenarios of new physics as well as their consequences on the lepton sector. The fact that neutrinos are massive is one of the problems left unsolved by the Standard Model.
Flavor effects in leptogenesis
Flavor effects can have a significant impact on the final estimate of the lepton (and therefore baryon) asymmetry in scenarios of leptogenesis. It is therefore necessary to account fully for this
Neutrino mixing and Leptogenesis with modular $S_3$ symmetry in the framework of type III seesaw.
Discrete symmetries being preferred to explain the neutrino phenomenology, we chose the simplest $S_3$ group and explore the implication of its modular form on neutrino masses and mixing. Non-trivial

Flavour matters in leptogenesis
We give analytic approximations to the baryon asymmetry produced by thermal leptogenesis with hierarchical right-handed neutrinos. Our calculation includes flavour-dependent washout processes and CP
On the impact of flavour oscillations in leptogenesis
When lepton flavour effects in thermal leptogenesis are active, they introduce important differences with respect to the case in which they are neglected, the so-called one-flavour approximation. We
Quantum resonant leptogenesis and minimal lepton flavour violation
It has recently been shown that the quantum Boltzmann equations may be relevant for the leptogenesis scenario. In particular, they lead to a time-dependent CP asymmetry which depends upon the
Scalar triplet flavored leptogenesis: a systematic approach
Type-II seesaw is a simple scenario in which Majorana neutrino masses are generated by the exchange of a heavy scalar electroweak triplet. When endowed with additional heavy fields, such as
Flavoured CP asymmetries for type II seesaw leptogenesis
A novel contribution to the leptonic CP asymmetries in type II seesaw leptogenesis scenarios is obtained for the cases in which flavour effects are relevant for the dynamics of leptogenesis. In the
Leptogenesis with heavy neutrino flavours: from density matrix to Boltzmann equations
Leptogenesis with heavy neutrino flavours is discussed within a density matrix formalism. We write the density matrix equation, describing the generation of the matter-antimatter asymmetry, for an
Flavour Issues in Leptogenesis
We study the impact of flavour in thermal leptogenesis, including the quantum oscillations of the asymmetries in lepton flavour space. In the Boltzmann equations we find different numerical factors
Analysis of leptogenesis in a supersymmetric triplet seesaw model
We analyze leptogenesis in a supersymmetric triplet seesaw scenario that explains the observed neutrino masses, adopting a phenomenological approach where the decay branching ratios of the triplets
