We construct a multiscalar and non-renormalizable model where the $\mathbf{S}_{3}$ flavor symmetry drives mainly the Yukawa couplings. In the quark sector, the Nearest Neighbor Interaction (NNI) textures are behind the CKM mixing matrix so that this is fitted in good agreement with the last available results. In the lepton sector, an almost diagonal charged lepton mass matrix and extended Fritzsch mass textures in the effective neutrino mass matrix, that comes from the type II see-saw mechanism… Expand

Flavored non-minimal left–right symmetric model fermion masses and mixings
A complete study on the fermion masses and flavor mixing is presented in a non-minimal left–right symmetric model (NMLRMS) where the $$\mathbf{S}_{3}\otimes \mathbf{Z}_{2}\otimesExpand
An $S_3$ Model for Lepton Mass Matrices with Nearly Minimal Texture
We propose a simple extension of the electroweak standard model based on the discrete $S_3$ symmetry that is capable of realizing a nearly minimal Fritzsch-type texture for the Dirac mass matrices ofExpand
S3 as a flavour symmetry for quarks and leptons after the Daya Bay result on θ13
A bstractWe present a model based on the flavour group S3 × Z3 × Z6 to explain the main features of fermion masses and mixing. In particular, in the neutrino sector the breaking Sol of the S3Expand
Novel Randall-Sundrum model with S 3 flavor symmetry
We propose a simple and predictive model of fermion masses and mixing in a warped extra dimension, with the smallest discrete non-Abelian group ${S}_{3}$ and the discrete symmetriesExpand
$$U(1)_{B-L}$$ extension of the standard model with $$S_3$$ symmetry
We propose a renormalizable $$B-L$$ Standard Model (SM) extension based on $$S_3$$ symmetry which successfully accommodates the observed fermion mass spectra and flavor mixing patterns as well as theExpand
Radiative seesaw-type mechanism of fermion masses and non-trivial quark mixing
We propose a predictive inert two-Higgs doublet model, where the standard model (SM) symmetry is extended by $$S_{3}\otimes Z_{2}\otimes Z_{12}$$S3⊗Z2⊗Z12 and the field content is enlarged by extraExpand
S 2 L permutation symmetry for left-handed μ and τ families and neutrino oscillations in an SU ( 3 ) L × U ( 1 ) N gauge model
We construct an ${\mathrm{SU}(3)}_{L}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{U(1)}_{N}$ gauge model based on an ${S}_{2L}$ permutation symmetry for left-handed $\ensuremath{\mu}$ and $\ensuremath{\tau}$Expand
Predictive Pati-Salam theory of fermion masses and mixing
A bstractWe propose a Pati-Salam extension of the standard model incorporating a flavor symmetry based on the Δ (27) group. The theory realizes a realistic Froggatt-Nielsen picture of quark mixingExpand
Lepton flavor violating decays t?lll and ?e? in the Higgs triplet model
Singly and doubly charged Higgs bosons in the Higgs Triplet Model mediate the lepton flavour violating (LFV) decays tau to \bar{l}ll and mu to e gamma. The LFV decay rates are proportional toExpand
The Flavor Symmetry
Assuming that the lepton, quark and Higgs fields belong to the three-dimensional reducible representation of the permutation group S 3 , we suggest a minimal S 3 invariant extension of the standardExpand
