Florida is the main producer of grapefruit (Citrus paradisi Macf.) in the world. Grapefruits provide not only the traditional nutrients (Carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals), but also phytochemicals such as flavonoids, which are not essential for life, but may provide many health benefits.
