Two flavonoids from fennel seeds quercetin and isoquercetin have been evaluated for virostatic efficacy against Bluetongue virus (BTV) in in vitro. They showed expressive effect on virus growth in BHK cell cultures by inhibiting the development of virus induced cytopathic effects at an effective concentration of 0.75±0.11 µM and 1.07±0.17 µM and the selective indexes was calculated accordingly and found that quercetin was highly selective than isoquercetin with SI50 values of 167 and 58… Expand
