Flagpole and flag-dipole spinors are particular classes of spinor fields that has been recently used in different branches of theoretical physics. In this paper, we study the possibility and consequences of these spinor fields to induce an underlying fluid flow structure in the background of Kerr spacetimes. We show that flag-dipole spinor fields are solutions of the equations of motion in this context. To our knowledge, this is the second time that this class of spinor field appears as a…
General Dynamics of Spinors
In this paper, we consider a general twisted-curved space-time hosting Dirac spinors and we take into account the Lorentz covariant polar decomposition of the Dirac spinor field: the corresponding
Spinor Fields, Singular Structures, Charge Conjugation, ELKO and Neutrino Masses
In this paper, we consider the most general treatment of spinor fields, their kinematic classification and the ensuing dynamic polar reduction, for both classes of regular and singular spinors;
Spinor fields on the bulk and on compactified dimensions
This work has as the main aim to explore the nature of the fermionic fields, through a classification of spinor fields about physical space of interest, such as the bulk and the compactified space
Spinor symmetries and underlying properties
By exploring a spinor space whose elements carry a spin 1/2 representation of the Lorentz group and satisfy the the Fierz–Pauli–Kofink identities we show that certain symmetries operations form a Lie
Torsion axial vector and Yvon-Takabayashi angle: zitterbewegung, chirality and all that
We consider propagating torsion as a completion of gravitation in order to describe the dynamics of curved-twisted space-times filled with Dirac spinorial fields; we discuss interesting relationships

In the most general geometric background, we study the Dirac spinor fields with particular emphasis given to the explicit form of their gauge momentum and the way in which this can be inverted so as
The Heisenberg spinor field classification and its interplay with the Lounesto’s classification
Dirac linear spinor fields were obtained from non-linear Heisenberg spinors, in the literature. Here we extend that idea by considering not only Dirac spinor fields but spinor fields in any of the
Mass Dimension One Fermions
In 2005, Dharam Ahluwalia and Daniel Grumiller reported an unexpected theoretical discovery of mass dimension one fermions. These are an entirely new class of spin one half particles, and because of
Opening the Pandora’s box of quantum spinor fields
Lounesto’s classification of spinors is a comprehensive and exhaustive algorithm that, based on the bilinears covariants, discloses the possibility of a large variety of spinors, comprising regular

Flag-Dipole Spinor Fields in ESK Gravities
We consider the Riemann-Cartan geometry as a basis for the Einstein-Sciama-Kibble theory coupled to spinor fields: we focus on $f(R)$ and conformal gravities, regarding the flag-dipole spinor fields,
New spinor fields on Lorentzian 7-manifolds
A bstractThis paper deals with the classification of spinor fields according to the bilinear covariants in 7 dimensions. The previously investigated Riemannian case is characterized by either one
From Dirac spinor fields to ELKO
Dual-helicity eigenspinors of the charge conjugation operator (ELKO spinor fields) belong, together with Majorana spinor fields, to a wider class of spinor fields, the so-called flagpole spinor
Spinor fields and symmetries of the spacetime
We show that in the background of a stationary and axisymmetric black hole, there is a particular spinor field whose “conserved current” interpolates between the null Killing vector on the horizon
From Dirac spinor fields to eigenspinoren des ladungskonjugationsoperators
Dual-helicity eigenspinors of the charge conjugation operator [eigenspinoren des ladungskonjugationsoperators (ELKO) spinor fields] belong—together with Majorana spinor fields—to a wider class of
Where are ELKO spinor fields in Lounesto spinor field classification
This paper proves that from the algebraic point of view ELKO spinor fields belong together with Majorana spinor fields to a wider class, the so-called flagpole spinor fields, corresponding to the
Classification of Singular Spinor Fields and Other Mass Dimension One Fermions
We investigate the constraint equations of the Lounesto spinor fields classification and show that it can be used to completely characterize all the singular classes, which are potential
Spinor fields classification in arbitrary dimensions and new classes of spinor fields on 7-manifolds
A bstractA classification of spinor fields according to the associated bilinear covariants is constructed in arbitrary dimensions and metric signatures, generalizing Lounesto’s 4D spinor field
