To the Editor: We read the article by Penninx et al1 with interest. They found that the 43 reinterventions (repeat ablation or hysterectomy) were “all because of persisting menorrhagia.” This is in contrast to previous long-term studies that concluded that pain, in addition to menorrhagia, are major indications for reintervention.
