First results of a detailed analysis of p+p elastic scattering data are presented from ISR to LHC energies utilizing the quark-diquark model of protons in a form proposed by Bialas and Bzdak. The differential crosssection of elastic proton-proton collisions is analyzed in detailed and systematic manner at small momentum transfers, starting from the energy range of CERN ISR at p s = 23.5 GeV, including also recent TOTEM data at the present LHC energies at p s = 7 TeV. These studies confirm the…

Elastic scattering of protons at the TOTEM experiment at the LHC
The TOTEM experiment at the LHC at CERN is optimized to measure elastic and diffractive scattering at the LHC and measures the total proton-proton cross-section with the luminosity-independent
Elastic scattering of hadrons
Colliding high-energy hadrons either produce new particles or scatter elastically with their quantum numbers conserved and no other particles produced. We consider the latter case here. Although

Description of the Totem experimental data on elastic pp-scattering at sqrt(s)=7 TeV in the framework of unified systematic of elastic scattering data
• Physics
• 2011
An unified systematic of elastic (anti)proton-proton scattering data is proposed based on a simple expression for the process amplitude - f(q)=A[(\pi dq)/sh(\pi dq)][i J_1(Rq)/(Rq)+\rho J_0(Rq)]. The
Elastic scattering at 7 TeV and high-energy cross section for cosmic ray studies
The recent measurements of the elastic cross section by the TOTEM Collaboration together with the first estimations of the inelastic cross sections by other LHC detectors are used to test the

We show that collider data on elastic pp (and $p\bar{p}$) scattering, including the LHC TOTEM data at 7 TeV, can be well described by a 3-channel eikonal model with only one Pomeron, with parameters

In the framework of a dynamical gluon mass model recently developed, we investigate the effects of two essential parameters in the description of elastic $pp$ and $\bar{p}p$ data at high energies:

High energy measurements of the inelastic proton-proton cross sections, at the LHC at $\sqrt s$=7 TeV and by Auger at 57 TeV, have validated previous evidence from data collected over a wide range of

We discuss how the main features of high-energy soft' and semihard' pp collisions may be described in terms of parton cascades and multi-Pomeron exchange. The interaction between Pomerons produces

The first data from the TOTEM experiment agree well with Regge theory, and demand a hard-pomeron contribution.
