We investigate finite-volume effects in the hadronic vacuum polarization, with an eye toward the corresponding systematic error in the muon anomalous magnetic moment. We consider both recent lattice data as well as lowest-order, finite-volume chiral perturbation theory, in order to get a quantitative understanding. Even though leading-order chiral perturbation theory does not provide a good description of the hadronic vacuum polarization, it turns out that it gives a good representation of…

Electromagnetic finite-size effects to the hadronic vacuum polarization

In order to reduce the current hadronic uncertainties in the theory prediction for the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, lattice calculations need to reach subpercent accuracy on the

Calculation of the Hadronic Vacuum Polarization Disconnected Contribution to the Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment.

We report the first lattice QCD calculation of the hadronic vacuum polarization (HVP) disconnected contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment at physical pion mass. The calculation uses a

Calculation of the Hadronic Vacuum Polarization Contribution to the Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment.

By supplementing lattice data for very short and long distances with R-ratio data, this work significantly improves the precision to a_{μ}^{HVP LO}=692.5(2.7)×10^{-10}.

Vector two-point functions in finite volume using partially quenched chiral perturbation theory at two loops

A bstractWe calculate vector-vector correlation functions at two loops using partially quenched chiral perturbation theory including finite volume effects and twisted boundary conditions. We present

Finite-volume correction on the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon g−2 in lattice QCD

We study the finite-volume correction on the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon g-2 ($a_\mu^{\rm hvp}$) in lattice QCD at (near) physical pion mass using two different volumes:

The hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon g − 2 from lattice QCD

A bstractWe present a calculation of the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment, aμhvp, in lattice QCD employing dynamical up and down quarks. We focus on

Lattice calculation of the leading strange quark-connected contribution to the muon g − 2

A bstractWe present results for the leading hadronic contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment due to strange quark-connected vacuum polarisation effects. Simulations were performed using

Finite-volume and thermal effects in the leading-HVP contribution to muonic (g − 2)

The leading finite-volume and thermal effects, arising in numerical lattice QCD calculations of $a^{\text{HVP,LO}}_\mu \equiv (g-2)^{\text{HVP,LO}}_\mu/2$, are determined to all orders with respect
