We examine the axial U(1) symmetry near and above the finite temperature phase transition in two-flavor QCD using lattice QCD simulations. Although the axial U(1) symmetry is always violated by quantization, (i.e.) the chiral anomaly, the correlation functions may manifest effective restoration of the symmetry in the high temperature phase. We explicitly study this possibility by calculating the meson correlators as well as the Dirac operator spectral density near the critical point. Our…

Axial U(1) symmetry in the chiral symmetric phase of 2-flavor QCD at finite temperature
We discuss the fate of the axial U(1) symmetry in 2-flavor QCD at finite temperature, where the non-singlet chiral symmetry is restored. We first summarize the previous theoretical investigation on
Study of the axial U(1) anomaly at high temperature with lattice chiral fermions
We investigate the axial U(1) anomaly of two-flavor QCD at temperatures 190--330 MeV. In order to preserve precise chiral symmetry on the lattice, we employ the Mobius domain-wall fermion action as
Evidence of effective axial U(1) symmetry restoration at high temperature QCD
We study the axial U(1) symmetry at a finite temperature in two-flavor lattice QCD. Employing the Mobius domain-wall fermions, we generate gauge configurations slightly above the critical temperature

Axial U(1) symmetry and mesonic correlators at high temperature in $N_f=2$ lattice QCD
We investigate the high-temperature phase of QCD using lattice QCD simulations with $N_f = 2$ dynamical Mobius domain-wall fermions. On generated configurations, we study the axial $U(1)$ symmetry,
Axial U(1) symmetry, topology, and Dirac spectra at high temperature in $N_f=2$ lattice QCD
Using lattice QCD simulations with $N_f = 2$ dynamical fermions, we study the axial $U(1)$ symmetry, topological charge, and Dirac eigenvalue spectra in the high-temperature phase in which the chiral
Role of axial U(1) anomaly in chiral susceptibility of QCD at high temperature
The chiral susceptibility, or the first derivative of the chiral condensate with respect to the quark mass, is often used as a probe for the QCD phase transition since the chiral condensate is an
1st or 2nd; the order of finite temperature phase transition of Nf=2 QCD from effective theory analysis
In the previous work, we have shown that the SU(2) chiral symmetry recovered above the critical temperature gives a strong constraint on the Dirac eigenvalue spectrum and this constraint is strong

A bstractWe study the thermal transition of QCD with two degenerate light flavours by lattice simulations using O(a)-improved Wilson quarks. Temperature scans are performed at a fixed value of Nt =
Non-perturbative analysis of phase structure in SU(3) gauge theory
The phase structure of gauge theory is one of the most fascinating subject in particle physics. Because of its strong coupling feature, perturbation is not effective in general. Thus,
