The large octopaminergic dorsal unpaired median neuron of the locust that innervates the extensor tibiae muscle, DUMETi, was examined electronmicroscopically. Its soma contains many Golgi complexes apparently making dense-core vesicles similar to those found in peripheral branches and terminals.
