BACKGROUND Because of morphologic similarities, the differential diagnosis of granulocytic sarcoma (GS) in fine-needle aspiration (FNA) specimens includes non-Hodgkin or Hodgkin lymphoma, extramedullary hematopoiesis, poorly differentiated carcinoma, and infection.
