In this research product, financing techniques and partnerships for rural and small urban area transportation projects are presented. This research examined alternative financing options, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) experience with them, and lessons learned. The results will be of use to TxDOT district staff in developing partnerships with local and private entities to address local needs.
