Filtration rate capacities in undisturbed freshwater bivalves were determined by means of two different methods (indirect “clearance” and “suction” methods) in Anodonta anatina (L.), Unio tumidus Philipsson, Unio pictorum (L.), Unio crassus Philipsson, Dreissena polymorpha (Pallas) and Sphaerium corneum (L.).
